Music Theory

I took two years of music theory in college, as well as a year of it in high school. Students can expect to learn the basics of theory (note names, clefs, time signature, key signature, rhythm and note duration) as well as any advanced material I feel they will understand, ie Roman Numeral analysis. I am also willing to teach basic keyboard skills such as finding notes on the piano and building chords as this coincides with theory.

Hey, my name is MaryKate! I just graduated in December 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Shorter University in Rome, Ga. This would be my first time teaching private lessons, and I am eager to learn a few things alongside my students! I have experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school choir as well as music theory and ear training. Let's make some music!
