Flute with Mary S.

I have been playing and teaching music for over 30 years. I hold a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Flute Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music where I studied with the world-renowned teacher and flutist, Robert Willoughby. Since completing my degrees, I have performed and taught in the United States and Canada. I have played numerous solo recitals, performed with chamber ensembles and orchestras. I have even played at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In addition to performing, I have taught in my own private studio. I have also taught university classes in flute performance, music theory and music history. I love teaching students of any level--there is always so much to learn and so much fun to have exploring music and the flute. Teaching allows me to share a wonderful and unique experience of growth and understanding with each student. Each student has different goals and different ways of learning and expressing. Lessons are a joyful exploration and development in our shared project of reaching those goals. Please join me in a safe and cozy place where music surrounds us!
