Mary is passionate about playing piano and teaching others her craft. She takes an individualized approach, tailoring each lesson to meet the needs of her student, carefully adapting her teaching style to what type of learner you are, which she will determine at the onset. What I love about working with Mary, is that she lets you choose what songs you want to learn and supplements those with materials at your level. She follows along at your pace, asking how many songs you want to work on at any given time. She is thorough, offering helpful critique and praise when due. She writes detailed instructions in a notebook, which she gives you to take home to refer to when practicing on your own. Mary composes her own music, and when you hear it you will be astonished by its beauty, her talent and skill. To be able to take lessons from such a gifted musician is an exciting thing! She is friendly and makes lessons fun. She takes personal interest in you from the start. Her rates are very reasonable,

I miss having Mary around! She taught me so much piano technique during just the few months when we lived in the same town. Wouldn't be able to read music at my church without her! I have ADHD and she was always so patient with me. I also have anxiety and she always knew how to keep me calm and relaxed with music. She is incredible, really sweet, empathetic, an awesome person and an awesome teacher.
