I am a vocal coach for beginners, intermediates and advanced levels. I have experience teaching for over 7 years and am currently a voice teacher for all levels at Modern Music School in Pasadena. I have taught choir, music theory and piano throughout the years in several institutions. Whether you need classes for technique, improvement of tone, head voice, chest voice, a specific genre, or just overall improvement, I would love to help you and teach you in the best way for your voice.

Born and raised in Costa Rica, Mariela has dedicated her life to music, singing, playing piano, songwriting, and teaching performance and vocal coaching. With over 7 years of experience teaching voice(currently at Modern Music School in Pasadena and privately), Mariela also performs her original songs around LA with her band Nova Mariee.

Her vocal technique is just amazing. She really help me improve very fast besides being a very fun person to work with.

Working with Mariela was awesome! She helped me refine my songwriting skills and pushed me to look deep within myself in order to write songs that were both creative and genuine. Not only is she a great teacher, but she is also an awesome person that makes music lessons fun.
