A self-taught guitarist with experience teaching beginners. I first learned to play the guitar from my grandfather when I was very young. I went on to learn the drums and clarinet. I came back to the guitar in high school and picked up the bass, accordion, and the keyboard.
When I came to college, I taught a few friends how to play the guitar. One had previously learned the piano, and one had no previous experience.
I am well versed in music theory. My main genre of music is blues, however, I have a background in heavy metal, jazz, country, rock, pop, polka, and reggae.
My goal is to teach beginners to early intermediates. I can teach songs, chords, scales, and basic song-writing. Some musicians I have experience in are Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the White Stripes, Avenged Sevenfold, the Black Keys, Green Day, John Mayer, Led Zeppelin, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I am looking forward to teaching!
