With 7 years of teaching experience, I specialize in beginning, and intermediate singers. Whether for yourself or for a loved one, I would be happy to help you; start a journey learning voice for the first time, brush up and get the voice back into shape, pursue voice as a hobby, delve into deeper training to take your voice beyond just the hobby level, or perhaps prepare for auditions or special occasions etc. Maybe you just want to gain more confidence in front of others, whether speaking, or singing, I can help you with that too. Music should be enjoyable no matter your skill level, and I would love to help you meet your goals and reach your potential.

About Mariah C.

Welcome to my page!
While this is not my life story, I hope you can get to know a little more about my journey as a musician and singer.

I'll jump right in. So, I have performed in over 500 concerts in my career as a musician thus far. Sounds crazy right? During the time I was getting my bachelors and masters degrees, I had the unique opportunity to tour all over the country and perform with a full orchestra. This type of first-hand performance experience helped me to better understand the need for excellence in many areas, such as; breath support, proper posture, diction, and appropriate performance practice. One goal of mine is to help my students excel in these areas also.

As much as I love classical music, I also love musical theater. I have had the privilege of performing in shows such as Gilbert and Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore as “Buttercup”, as well as Yeston and Kopit’s Phantom, of which I won the Inland Theater League Founders Award for my role as “Carlotta”.

Singing has always been my passion. After getting my Masters in Vocal Performance, I decided I wanted to share that passion and knowledge with others.

Although I was classically trained in voice I enjoy singing many different styles of music, from opera, to jazz, broadway, pop, and country, just to name a few. I teach vocalist of all ages and skill levels, and I believe when proper vocal technique is taught and practiced, a person can sing most any genre.

I would love to opportunity to help you realize your goals and reach your full potential as a vocalist.
