Piano with Maren D.

First-place winner of the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition, Maren made her debut performance at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in December 2023. She has further distinguished herself through performances at the Gijón International Piano Festival in Spain and the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina. ​Maren is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Trained under the guidance of esteemed instructors such as Dr. Timothy Hoft, Dr. Hilary Demske, Dr. Gerta Wiemer, Dr. Koji Attwood, Nicolette Bird, and Mariah Sam, Maren has honed her skills in masterclasses led by renowned musicians like Awadagin Pratt, Liza Stepanova, Lisa Moore, Santiago Rodriguez, Jason Hardink, and the Fry Street Quartet. Additionally, she has performed with the Utah Valley Symphony as a first-place winner of the UVS Concerto Competition. ​Maren graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Utah Valley University (UVU) in 2024 while also earning certificates in Piano Pedagogy and Collaborative Piano. Throughout her pedagogical studies, she has conducted numerous masterclasses for UVU students and beyond, benefiting from personalized pedagogy instruction from UVU's piano faculty. Currently, she is actively pursuing her Music Teacher's National Association certification as part of her ongoing research project for the piano pedagogy certificate.
