Cello with Maggie C.

Maggie began studying music at the age of 5. After specializing in cello under the instruction of Elizabeth Benusis and 2 years of study at Interlochen Arts Camp, she began playing symphonic cello professionally at age 15. From there, Maggie earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Cello Performance at Minot State University under the instruction of Erik Anderson. In the next stage of her education, Maggie completed her Master of Music (Mmus) degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying under both Rudi de Groote and Robert Irvine. Maggie has recently played with such symphonies as the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra, Minot Symphony Orchestra, Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra, the Bismarck/Mandan Symphony Orchestra, the Edinburgh Contemporary Music Ensemble, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Symphony Orchestra. Instruction specialties include classical and rock cello. Performance opportunities are available as frequently as the student wishes to perform.
