About Luke H.
Holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Classical Guitar from The Hartt School of Music. Student of Richard Provost. Full scholarship recipient. 2nd place winner of the 2003 MTNA National Classical Guitar Competition, Salt Lake City, Utah. Over 15 years teaching experience of all styles of guitar playing. Curriculum carefully refined over years of hands on experience.
Beginner lessons are centered around building a solid foundation of basic guitar skills and knowledge, this includes note reading, rhythmic foundation, both solo and duo playing, and also scale and chord knowledge. Beginning lessons also allow time to incorporate students own interests. This is a general introduction of guitar skills that includes not just classical, but blues and rock.
Intermediate players, will receive in depth technique training, exercises, repertoire building, maintenance and interpretive skills.
Advanced players lessons will focus on technique,interpretive skills and repertoire.
