Acoustic Guitar with Lukas R.

Hi! My name is Lukas, and I'm a recent transplant from Wisconsin. I've been playing the guitar for over a decade, and started working with kids as an educator about 5 years ago. I attended school for Recording and Music Technology and currently work as an audio engineer, in addition to running a small record label I've developed my own unique approach to learning the guitar based around my understanding of the instrument as a tool. My goal is to teach students not only how to play the guitar, but how to use the guitar as a tool to make music. To this end, my curriculum involves simultaneously learning both guitar technique and basic, practical music theory. I'm very comfortable working with children and others who have no prior musical experience!
