Guitar with Luis V.

Luis is a well-rounded guitarist focusing on Classical Guitar methods and Mexican Requinto style of playing but well versed in other popular styles too such as Rock, Metal, Blues, Pop and Folk. Luis was born into a musical family in El Paso TX, inheriting the love of music from his father Adalberto and talented uncles. Although taught to play the keyboard and sing from an early age, He began seriously studying music at 14, learning to play the guitar and requinto from his father surpassing him by the age of 18. He then attended Lone Star College CyFair and earned an Associate of Arts in Music degree in 2012. While in college he was awarded The Susan J. Caldwell Endowment for the Arts scholarship. He currently continues to perform as a freelance guitarist for local Trio groups in Houston.
