Guitar with Lucas S.

Lucas S/ is a guitarist, educator, and composer born in Brazil. He started his studies with a local teacher in his hometown who was an alumnus from Berklee College of Music. In 2014 he went to a Berklee Summer Program where after studying with great teachers he decided to become a musician. In 2015, Lucas met his teacher Garry Dial who is in charge of the great Charlie Bancos courses and began to study via correspondence lesson. During this same year, he moved to New York to study in person with Garry and Hal Crook. In 2016, Lucas moved to Boston to pursue a degree from Berklee College Of Music. At Berklee, Lucas was able to study with the guitar guru Mick Goodrick for three years. During that time, he also received the "John La Porta" Award from Berklee. In 2019, Lucas graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Performance and a minor in Jazz and Popular Music Theory. Currently, Lucas is living in New York and pursuing a Master's Degree in Jazz Performance. He also continues his studies with Garry Dial while teaching and performing throughout the city.
