Lucas Q. has played multiple instruments since the age of 11 years old (Trumpet, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Latin Percussion, and Piano). His main instrument is piano. Lucas directed two musical groups called 'Buena Onda' and 'Tradicion', in Los Angeles in 2014-2015. During his collaborations with these bands, he played piano and vocals with Tradicion and was lead vocalist for Buena Onda. The groups focused on Cuban music and Latin Jazz. Lucas also has vast experience playing professionally in Puerto Rico and teaching piano performance and music theory independently.
As part of his formation, Lucas studied Jazz piano under two Berklee College of Music Alumni. Lucas also studied piano at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico in the Department of Jazz and Caribbean music.
He recently finished composing his first album that is in the process of being recorded. The album is set to be launched at the end of 2017.
