Learn and enjoy playing the piano or digital instrument with a teacher with 30+ years experience

My joy is creating exciting, customized, engaging lessons for my students to help them reach their musical goals and make music for enjoyment, and enhancement in their lives. I have worked with keyboard technology since it arrived on the teaching scene, and love to incorporate useful techniques to help students reach their goals. Lessons are custom created based on student’s needs, desires, and goals. The integrated use of technology makes lessons meaningful and engaging! I have worked in the music products industry as a product specialist and national trainer to teachers, music dealers and consumers for over 35 years years and would love to help you get the most out of your digital instrument, whether it’s a digital piano, portable keyboard or organ. If there’s an owner’s manual available, we will get the best out of your instrument together!

I call my studio Piano Paradise as I have loved teaching since the day I was accidentally introduced to it at the wise age of 15, while substitute teaching senior citizen organ classes for a vacationing teacher. I love it, and I have loved my students ever since. I currently teach piano and pop organ. I also enjoy helping teachers integrate the use of technology on their studios. I love working with students who want to make music as a part of their lives. As well, I love working to help students get the most from their digital instruments, whether it's a digital piano, keyboard, or pop organ. I have been very fortunate to work in the music products industry for over 30 years, and if there is an owners manual available, together we will find the best uses for your instrument. I have the honor of working with music therapists to help create meaningful music making for their client’s and enjoy using these techniques as needed in my teaching as well. This allows me to help create meaningful learning experiences for special needs students as well. I love working with adults, and seniors who have always dreamt of playing a keyboard instrument. I also have years of experience working with younger students as well. Students will be required to purchase appropriate music and books determined during lessons, as well as have an instrument to learn on. Let’s have fun learning and exploring music together in Piano Paradise!

As a retired Director for Yamaha Corporation of America, its is my great pleasure to recommend Lori as an incredible piano instructor. In fact, I've known Lori professionally for more than 30 years. During that time, Lori taught countless teachers, from private teachers to college professors, in the art of piano instruction and especially in the use of technology. During my time at Yamaha, Lori was relied on in countless situations to convey complex technology solutions in a simplified and effective way in national conventions and private workshops. I know no other person as passionate or as capable to teach music to any level of student, but especially those beginning their musical journey through the intermediate stages. My simple advice would be to hire her immediately. You'll find no other person more up to date on the most current technologies and materials to ensure your musical success.

Lori is a wonderful teacher especially for those of us who are not technically inclined. She doesn't make you feel dumb but just the opposite. It is always a pleasure to talk to her and she is a very positive piano/organ teacher. Anyone would be thrilled to have such a great and understanding teacher.
