Music is my passion and I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals. Learn violin in a fun, relaxing environment. Lessons are tailored to fit your musical preferences and needs. Students will learn proper technique, tone production, intonation, and music theory while playing the music they love! My goal is to give you the tools and skills to play whatever music you desire. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance summa cum laude from the University of Alabama where I performed in orchestras, chamber groups, and taught violin. Afterwards I attended the University of South Carolina for my Master’s where I specialized in group instruction and private lessons, teaching all of the stringed instruments to students ranging from 6 to 60+. I’ve also been a member of several orchestras including the Huxford Symphony Orchestra, the USC Symphony Orchestra, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Meridian Symphony Orchestra, and the Shoals Symphony Orchestra and attended music festivals across the country including the Castleman Quartet Program, Madeline Island Music Festival, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, and Kinhaven Music Festival. In addition to music, I love home-roasted coffee, quilting, writing, flying, and anything with wings—that includes birds, chickens, and airplanes!
