Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lois. Violin became my favorite instrument while in fourth grade. Since then, I've had hundreds of private lessons and was involved in school orchestras all the way through college. My first degree from CSU, Ft. Collins is in violin performance. My masters in music education came from a university in Louisiana. In 1977, I started teaching private music lessons and then received a government grant to start the first ever string music orchestra at a school in Leesville, Louisiana. I also had the privilege of playing in three different orchestras! Over the years, I've continued my education, set up my music studio in many different cities, played for several orchestras in California and Colorado, performed in many different venues, and taught in private and public elementary schools. So, teaching and playing string instruments is my passion. It's my hope to make that passion contagious so my students will love to learn, play, and perform their chosen instrument.
