Every student has unique needs. Any student will succeed if the instruction is tailored to their learning processes. Since every student learns in a different fashion, it is necessary to use both traditional methodology and Suzuki methodology while teaching. Each student is placed in the program and course that best suits their learning needs. I expect my students to attend the lesson every week, complete all assignments, and listen to directions.

I believe that the most important aspect of learning is a positive and comfortable environment that encourages and facilitates growth! My studio ranges from ages 9 to adult and from beginner to advanced.

Through my own studies I have experienced many different teaching styles and philosophies, and have developed my own method to help my students progress quickly and efficiently.

Every lesson will begin with a discussion about the students practicing so that we can celebrate growth and work together through challenges.

Students will be asked to study technical and tone exercises as well as repertoire that will help them progress in the necessary areas. I will help my students choose pieces that are appropriate and enjoyable.

If a student would like to study a popular song then I will gladly write my own arrangement for them. We can also learn to play by ear and improvise.

For my online students I will record solos, duets, and piano parts to pieces that we cannot play ...

I believe in having recitals 1-2 times per year for my students. Performances make students progress at a faster rate. Also giving them solos or songs to play and preform later on. I have played with rock bands many places, including Hollywood California venues like the whisky a go go. I've played many places with jazz band and marching bands. Troopers drum and bugle corps gave me the chance to nearly play in every major stadium in the united states. Some competitions were even in Canada.

About Danny

I've played drums about 30 years and taught lessons about 20 of those years. Each student is different and I've evolved my lessons to accommodate teaching each student. My background consists of all styles of Drumset, marching band, rock bands, soloing and Troopers drum corps. Also playing in jazz,

Lianne helped me prepare for an audition for the Metropolitan Opera Chorus. She not only helped me fix some vocal things I was doing that I was unaware of, she also helped me with the emotional and theatrical portrayal of the character. Lianne is a highly trained and skilled singer, actor, and performer, and that all carries over into her teaching. Highly recommend.
John H.
I have worked with Lianne off and on over a period of four years, and I give her the absolute highest recommendation! She singlehandedly changed my singing: within the first two lessons, I had fixed problems that had stunted my progress for years and gave me a new understanding of what it meant to truly relax while performing. She is knowledgeable, kind, and funny, but she'll also hold you to a standard and push you to succeed. You will not regret a moment of the time you spend with her!

"I've been taking lessons online and in person from Chau for almost a year now and I can honestly say, I wouldn't have had it any other way. She is an extraordinary teacher who is very good at communicating and understanding her students. I remember being terrified of singing out loud when I first arrived with her. Since then she has allowed me to open up and has made a huge difference in not only the way I sing but the way I live my life as well. She pushes me to be the best singer I can be and helps me believe in myself even when I am in doubt. She is truly an amazing teacher and lovely human being that I'd recommend to anyone regardless of singing goals or experience."

"I am not one to take the time to write a review, but my experience must be shared and voiced. I met Professor Candid in early September. Hesitant to start, she immediately provided me with the safest space to be myself, to express my doubts, and to expand on the craft of music with her guidance. She exceeded my expectations time and time again, giving me endless tips, daily practice routines that not only incorporated vocals but mind, body and soul altogether. She did not hesitate to keep me in mind throughout the week, sending me clips of artists, helping me envision my own personal voice. She is always attentive, extremely patient, and has such grace when communicating with you about everything. I have been a music student for most of my life, have been with a handful of music teachers and she is 1 out of 2 teachers that have fully created a 100% non-judgmental environment for me to grow and learn. She always has a great listening ear and always keeps in mind what your personal goals and intentions are, guiding you with any small or huge dream you have your mind set for. If you’re looking for a professor that will not give up on you, will constantly be available to help you throughout the week, someone that shares her joy, teaches you not only her limitless knowledge on music but her wisdom that will forever leave you with such joy and peace every time you end your class session with her, then do not doubt to take your lessons with her! She is the best out here! Forever giving amazing quality lessons! You won’t regret it, I promise you!"
