About Lisa
I am a Colorado Native with a Music Degree from the University of Denver. I started playing the violin in elementary school and never stopped! I picked up the Viola in college. I enjoy playing that as well.
I have been teaching group classes for the Cherry Creek School district for over 10 years and love that. I have been teaching private lessons for over 10 years as well. Both are challenging in very different ways.
I enjoy watching my students learn and grow through music.
I love playing with an orchestra and playing with a quartet. I've played with several different local groups over the years.

*** Lesson Details ***
I do not offer one size fits all lessons. I tailor my lessons to fit the needs and goals of each individual student. I use a variety of different method books based on the musical background of each studen
t.
You can expect that I will ask a bunch of questions at the beginning of your lessons, and I will try a bunch of things at first. And then will make a decision based on what I think will be the best fit.
I like to utilize what technology has to offer, and I have a keyboard and a computer available at every lesson. I use them for ear training and listening activities.
I like to make sure that music is fun, however I will expect that students are doing the work at home, so at home practice is expected.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Living room w/ violin, piano, keyboard, music stands, and seating for parents.
Please note that I do have a dog in the home, please let me know if you have allergies.

*** Specialties ***
I teach beginning and intermediate violin. I teach a classic style.

My daughter, Katie, started her first violin lessons this year with Lisa. I wasn't sure if she was going to enjoy playing the violin as she is only 6 yrs old and pretty lively (hard to keep her still!), but Katie loved Lisa from the start. Lisa is friendly, patient, and easy going with Katie. Within a couple of months, Katie was already practicing her second song and sight reading her music. Lisa is a great violin teacher!

very patient teacher!

Lisa is very patient! My son is a typical 8 yr old boy with lots of energy and she is very good at keeping him focused. She is also very good at working on 1 thing at a time and not overwhelming students with no music experience. I would recommend her to anyone interested in learning violin.

About Molly
I have loved music almost all my life. I began my lifelong journey to immerse myself in learning piano at age seven. At thirteen, I added violin lessons as well. By the time I reached high school, I knew that music would be my major in college, and that music would always be a vital part of my life.
I played violin with my high school orchestra, including taking part in productions of Fiddler on the Roof and Anything Goes. I also played piano with the orchestra, and performed the first movement of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor in concert. I played the piano for my school’s top show choir as well, performing with the group throughout the Denver area. I was also a member of the Colorado All-State Orchestra. All this time, I continued my private lessons in both piano and violin.
While still in high school, I auditioned for, and got,
the title role in the Country Dinner Playhouse’s production of Fiddler on the Roof.
After high school, I chose the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music to continue my music education. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Music degree in piano. I was invited to join the academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa, as well as the music honor society, Pi Kappa Lambda. I have also completed my Master of Music in piano at Lamont School of Music.
While in college, I accompanied many vocal and instrumental students, and discovered the joy of chamber and collaborative music. I formed partnerships and friendships with many other musicians, including professional musicians in several countries. I have also worked as a pianist for several area churches and spent one holiday season as a pianist at Nordstrom.
I believe that music should be an integral part of a well-rounded education. I hope that my passion for music will enable me to help others find the same joy and appreciation.

*** Lesson Details ***
I believe that every student learns differently and that those differences should be embraced. For that reason, I do not advocate a specific method or curriculum. I will work with each student individually to determine what method of learning will work best for them. Together we will decide what our curriculum should be so that we can incorporate not only learning, but fun into lessons.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Computer desk, piano, dedicated music room, space for parents to wait

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would expect students to provide their own instruments.

*** Specialties ***

Molly built in some flexibility in our lesson, which was nice. As an adult, she asked my goals and suggested that we build in some music I played as a child—that we could find easier formats of the songs or find easier pieces within that childhood piano book. I like that Molly has availability on weekends too because it is hard for me to be across town after work.

If you are an adult and want to learn piano Molly is the answer. She is very knowledgeable and her musicality is top notch. I have a music background and she keeps me focused and teaches me things about the piano that differ from other instruments. If you are new to music or new to the piano I would highly recommend Molly as a teacher.

I had no prior vocal or musical training of any kind--I can't read music--when I began voice lessons with Laura. All I had was a passion since childhood that I finally got the nerve up to pursue. The lessons were a wonderful experience from the very beginning. Voice may be the most challenging instrument to learn, because the teacher can't "play the instrument" to demonstrate technique. Laura has a remarkable talent for communicating vocal techniques and concepts with inventive and vivid visualizations that helped me understand the relationship between my body, my voice, and the sound I produce. I loved the music of Gabriel Faure, but never imagined I could sing it. Laura had all the confidence that I could, and we jumped right in. Faure's beautiful art songs, as well as others by Reynaldo Hahn and Ernest Chasson that Laura introduced me to, are now a part of me. I learned so much in the two years we worked together before Laura returned to her hometown of Denver, and miss her terribly!

My 13 year-old daughter had taken voice lessons from Ms. Laura in Maryland for two years. I have to say my daughter was so lucky to have Ms. Laura as her first voice teacher! When my daughter started to show interest in singing in 2016, she knew very little about singing. Ms. Laura was very knowledgeable, personal and supportive. Ms. Laura taught my daughter about vocal anatomy, how to improve her voice presentation and how to avoid possibility of voice loss, inflammation from overuse or misuse. After several months, my daughter made very impressive progress on her voice range and presentation. It was such a treat when I listened to my daughter practicing singing at home. She was getting better and better every day. I was so proud of my daughter. At the same time, I really appreciate Ms. Laura being such a wonderful teacher. Ms. Laura is very personal. She tried to know my daughter as a teacher and as a friend. Based on each student's personality and strength, Ms. Laura chose music that helps each student to grow, but also focus on what needs to be worked on. Ms. Laura was very flexible when we needed to reschedule lessons. We sure miss her!!

As Abbe' Dimnet once said, "Children have to be educated, but they have also to be left to educate themselves."

I aim to teach my students how to sing through kinesthesia. This allows them to internalize what they are doing in the studio so they can practice it at home and be more successful. Practicing what they learn in the studio will help them gain good habits, making singing and performing more effortless. One of the hard things about learning how to sing, is learning to use muscles you can not see. This is why kinesthesia is important! It helps the student learn how everything feels, so they can produce free, open, resonant sounds.

I also aim to teach my students artistry! Music can be a powerful influence in our lives and society. It is important for a student to learn to connect with their music so they can be better perfor
mers.

Last, I am a member of NATS. This allows me to continue my education on the voice and gives me new insights from other great teachers and vocal scientists around the nation. By being a member of this association, it also allows me to give my students opportunities to compete in competitions and get feedback from other great teachers.

I grew up in Centennial, Colorado and started playing the violin in 4th grade. I developed an interest in singing in middle school, and started voice lessons when I was 16. I have been singing ever since!

I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in April 2009, with a Bachelor degree in Music Science. I emphasized in vocal instruction.

I am happily married to my husband, Kevin, who is currently studying to be an optometrist.

Hi! My name is David and I love to teach piano. Music is my favorite thing ever. Performing, accompanying, teaching, listening, anything with music, I'm in hog heaven. Every kind, any genre. I love 'em all, yes, even country.

I teach both pop styles (rock, r&b, jazz, etc.) and classical (Debussy, Beethoven, Bartok, etc.). If you just want to learn some keyboard skills together with theory (like for producing) but you're not interested in necessarily *reading* music, I'm one of the few piano teachers that's ready, willing, and able to teach you how to play without tying everything to musical notation. Or, I can teach you to rock some Shostakovich. Or accompany your choir. Or write songs. I have no agenda other than helping you grow as a musician. What path that takes is entirely up to you.

I'm a caring and empathetic teac
her, and I make learning fun! Questions? Please ask!

According to Vintage Guitar Magazine I am "looking to bring a new sound to instrumental guitar music" and that my original songs are "a memorable mix of country, jazz, rock and soul that transcends all genres." As a sideman, my resume includes numerous tours with national acts and I've also had songs on SiriusXM Radio.

And I love teaching and sharing my knowledge of music! My teaching background has been with all ages and all levels of students. I've had great success with getting beginners off the ground and helping them play the music they enjoy. Nothing is off-limits whether it be pop songs, fingerpicking, metal anthems, country pickin', jazz standards, blues improvisation -- you name it.

I don't have a "method" but rather tailor our sessions to your individual needs. Everyone is different and I spend the time preparing material
that works for YOU.

Hey y’all! I am a graduate student at the University of Denver working towards a Master of Music in Horn Performance. I earned a Bachelors in Instrumental Music Education from Arkansas State University in May 2018, and I just recently relocated to the beautiful state of Colorado. I have been teaching lessons for a little over 5 years.

I have performed in over 20 states as well as Northern Ireland, England, and Germany. The next place on my list is Switzerland! I love to mentor students who aspire to share the gift of music with others. Music is one of the most rewarding professions and hobbies, and I would be happy to help you both improve your skills and find opportunities to further your musical experiences. In the end, it is all about becoming your best musician.

Some of my interests outside of music include animals, traveling

Also, if my times do not work for you but you are interested in taking lessons, don’t hesitate to ask if I can meet at another time. My schedule can be relatively flexible.
