The French Horn is one of the hardest instruments to learn and play. It requires hours of private lessons, practicing, and performance to begin to unlock the secrets of the beauty of this unique instrument. Although the horn can be challenging and sometimes difficult to manage, the music that you will be able to create will make all of your hard work worthwhile. I have taken horn lessons for 11 years and I have been a horn teacher for 5 years. Throughout my years of experience with the horn I have learned to cultivate unique and versatile teaching methods that cater to my individual students' needs. You are my priority. I will approach each of our lessons with specific goals and exercises for you. I incorporate a mixture of old and new teaching techniques that will ensure that our lessons are productive and enjoyable. French Horn is one of the most beautiful instruments in the world. Hi there! My name is Lizzie, and I am a professional Horn player and teacher. I graduated from Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University, and I have studied under the instruction of Richard Seraphinoff and Jeffrey Nelsen. I have studied in Europe as well as America, so I have a wide variety of experience that helps make me a versatile teacher. When I'm not playing or teaching Horn, I enjoy cooking, painting, and ballroom dancing. I love animals, and I am the owner of two fur-babies and a turtle. I love to travel, and I have lived in Vienna, Austria for 6 months when I was a Junior in college. I can't wait to share some of the magical music of the horn with you!
