Lessons are offered by internationally acclaimed musician, Lindy LaFontaine. Explore and develop your voice in all contemporary styles and genres, learning projection and microphone technique (if desired) and working on a wide variety of repertoire and styles. Lessons are extremely relaxed and informal. I do not tutor aspiring Classical singers. Beginners and experienced performers welcome. Current clients come from a variety of backgrounds, amateur and professional, from TV & the music industry to people starting completely from scratch. I have lots of experience working with beginner singers and those with confidence issues. My clients sing various popular genres, from Rock, Pop, Alternative, Folk & Metal to Soul & Jazz. I will work with you to develop many different skills needed by vocalists such as: -Making your natural tone sound it's best and developing tones that don't come naturally -Vocal Stylistics -Mic Use -Stage Presence & Choreography -Overcoming Stage Fright -Songwriting & Lyrics -Arranging & Producing -Accompanying yourself on Guitar, Keyboard & Percussion Here's a little information about me: Honors Graduate in Performing Arts, Music from Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Studied under Paul McCartney, Tracy Chapman, Mark Pearman (Sisters of Mercy), George Martin, and Malcolm Mclaren. Singing professionally in England, Spain, New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Cairo, Egypt for over fifteen years. Lessons will be offered Monday - Sunday, 10am-7pm to all ages and all levels of experience. Please email me with all days and times you are available and I will do my best to work with your schedule. I offer lessons in a North Oakland music rehearsal studio, one block from the MacArthur Bart station. I can also come to you for an additional fee depending on the distance from Oakland. The minimum cancellation notification time required by me is 24 hours. This gives me time to offer your canceled hour to someone on the waiting list. I look forward to working with you!
