Beginner, Intermediate
I have studied guitar for 5 years and currently studying music in college. I am able to teach any beginner or intermediate guitarist. I am most proficient in the rock and pop genres and am seasoned in blues and metal among a few other genres. My biggest focus is on the technique behind playing chords, melodies, solos, improv, and comping. I want to make sure any student of mine has the confidence to pick up a guitar and perform their favorite songs in any setting, or feel able enough to write their own music. PLEASE NOTE; I go to college in Boston and can only do house visits in my hometown over Summer break. Send me a message and we'll get started!

About Levi V.

I am a professional guitarist and singer, dabbling in drums, piano, and producing. My strong suits include performing, and writing music of a few genres, although most people I work with know me for my rock styles. I was born in 1999, which makes me 20 at the time of writing this, and I started playing guitar when I was 15. Guitar became my passion ever since, while I'd lock myself in my room for hours at a time studying the instrument. By the end of my Senior year in high school I was playing and singing in a gigging band that played music I wrote in some small, but notable venues from Philadelphia to New York. I am currently enrolled at Berklee College of Music in Boston refining my craft further, studying film scoring and diving deeper into music theory.

My experience teaching started with a class I taught online for kids in Haiti as service work as they had just recover from a hurricane prior. They were given guitars and I was lucky to teach them. Although the language gap slowed us down, it gave me a different perspective on teaching.

My favorite genres to play are rock, pop, disco, blues, metal, and soundtrack music, but I listen to all genres and I am willing to teach you anything and encourage that we don't just stick to one genre. I also want to try and keep my sessions light-hearted and fun! As a teacher, I think it's most important to find ways to encourage a student rather than discourage.
