Students can expect to be introduced to studying classical piano methods and learn technique, note reading, how to sight-read, how to practice for effective performance of a piece.

About Paul

I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University with a minor in music and an emphasis on music theory. I have studied classical piano extensively for over 20 years and jazz piano for over 10 years. I studied jazz improvisation with world-famous jazz guitarist, Ted Dunbar, Rutgers University Mason

Very passionate about piano and able to convey ideas.. also very good at feeling out what student is seeking to achieve. Definitely recommend Paul if you are wanting to take playing piano as a serious endeavor

My experience with this teacher was horrible. Paul has no patience for a child that might not pay attention as much as necessary. He has forgotten what it is to be a child or how to win over a child and make a lesson fun.
My child had one previous lesson with Paul. It is true that she was not following his directions and his frustration was quite obvious.
On my second visit I was appalled by Paul’s behavior. Again my child wouldn’t sit down on the bench correctly. Verbatim this what occurred next, I quote: “This is not going to work out. Get out of my house NOW, NOW!(Screaming, like I was going to prolong this). I have better things to do than waste my time with your daughter. I don’t want to take your money.

It is true that my daughter can be difficult when approached in an authoritarian manner. However, my daughter is not yet six and Paul brought my daughter to tears. Surely this behavior was at best inappropriate and says more about the person Paul is than about my daughter. A simple “ May I have word with you in private” would be a mature way to part company. Not throwing a 6 year out of your house because you are frustrated. I was horribly offended by his manner and attitude. No way to treat a 6 year old.

This man has no patience with young kids. I would stay away from this teacher unless your child has some experience with piano. Definitely not child friendly.
Normally I do not post reviews unless something extraordinary happens This is one of those: extraordinarily bad.
An apology is in order if this poor excuse for a “teacher” has any understanding of the unnecessary hurt he has caused.

Pamela is great, very professional and welcoming. This was my daughter's first voice lesson ever and she was super excited when it was over. Looking forward to the next lesson. Highly recommended.

I have had a vocal coach before meeting Pam, but she absolutely took it to another level. Pamela does a good job with teaching the mechanics of singing, as she pin points which muscles the body is using and how to use them properly when singing. She has a variety of warm ups and stretches to get your voice and body prepared to perform and is very good and pushing you to become your best. If you are a serious singer and would like to take the knowledge of your craft a step further, I would definitely recommend.

In our lessons, beginning students will learn to read music, play their favorite pieces, how to do warm ups and learn basic skills. I use sheet music and introductory books in my classes and assign homework for their daily practice. After 3 months, each student will move to the next level and continue learning more advanced skills. More advanced students will learn how to understand and compose music, put expression into the pieces they play and improve their current skills.

About Lena

I have been playing piano since I was a young child and have always had a passion for music. I apprenticed in China under a master piano teacher for 15 years and then immediately started performing in many different venues. 18 years ago, I started teaching piano and have enjoyed sharing my love o

Miss Lena is an excellent teacher. She has been working with my 5yo daughter for about 6 months now. I wanted my daughter to learn piano by the method. Miss Lena teaches her music theory and uses a children's lesson book that is very appropriate for my daughter's piano development. I am with my daughter during her lessons and act as an aid for the two of them. Teaching a 5yo piano through Zoom has its challenges but the three of us have been able to make it work. My 5yo is playing piano songs and does it more proficiently than her kindergarten friends who say they play piano. I believe this is because Miss Lena keeps us disciplined and on track to progress. She is a skilled and experienced teacher, and she is kind. I recommend highly recommend her.

Lena is a brilliant teacher. I've really enjoyed her lessons in the past few weeks and feel as if I'm improving quickly thanks to the help she's given me and the practice exercises she's assigned. If anyone's looking to take lessons with a new teacher, I strongly recommend her.

I've performed on Broadway, in National Tours, in Regional Theatre and on Cruiseships. I've been teaching for 20 years and my students have landed recording contracts, roles in Matilda on Broadway, Kinky Boots National Tour, Les Miserables National Tour and one student performed 2 seasons ago on NBC's The Voice. I help every student discover the power of their voice in a healthy way. No "shouting" when they sing. I specialize in audition coaching for Broadway and shows like The Voice as well as for musical theatre scholarships as I'm also a veteran actor. If you check out AcaPop Kids on YouTube, you'll see two of my students performing.

About Ben

I've been teaching people to sing for 20 years. I myself have worked on Broadway, in national tours, in regional theatre and on cruiseships for Carnival and Royal Caribbean. I also have a home recording studio where I've recorded myself and other singers for several independent record labels. Bec

I have known been professionally for over 10 years and he has been constant in my life, as over those years I’ve needed vocal training, studio recording and so much more. As an untrained performer growing up, I realized in my adulthood that I really wanted to pursue music and performance. Without extensive training, however, I’ve always had some insecurities with my abilities to measure up. Ben’s vocal coaching has helped me learn healthier, correct ways to sing and it has helped me so very much! I also no longer fear or feel insecure about not being perfect in studio recordings. Ben’s gentle nature makes for the perfect space for your expression, imperfections and all, and he gives excellent guidance, pitch instruction & note references, as he is also a singer & plays piano. He is a true master with pitch correction and any other possible thing you can need him to create for you on a recording, as well. I feel I make my best magic with Ben… I have no idea what I would EVER do without him🤎

I had the pleasure of working with Ben for years on my vocal technique. He completely transformed the way I approach healthy singing and emoting through song. He is masterful at his craft and makes learning fun. Best of all, he is one of the most humble and thoughtful artists I’ve worked with. I’d recommend his coaching to anyone at any age.

I have known and had the privilege of working with Ben for more than 20 years. Within the past 5 years I noticed my vocals were strained and singing became painful. I began working with Ben as a coach. His training technique is rigorous but gentle and grounded in theory. He is the COACH for those who truly want to reach their full potential.

"This past spring I was looking for a teacher who would provide my daughter with excellent music theory knowledge and piano. I did some extensive research and I was fortunate to find Fawn. My daughter has truly been loving the experience of learning the piano and spending time with Fawn. She looks forward to her lessons every week. The lessons are fun and educational. She started back in March and she has already advanced to her 3rd level book! Fawn is super sweet and promotes a comfortable and fun atmosphere, while giving a thorough foundation. She even assigns composers for my daughter to read a few times a month. I was hesitant to do online lessons, thinking it may be difficult, but it's been very easy and effective. Fawn is a great find; if you have a child who is the slightest bit interested in learning piano, songwriting, voice, performance, poetry, etc. then you are in great hands with Fawn!"

The 6 Best Reasons for Adults to Take Piano Lessons

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." - Pablo Picasso According to the 2008 NAMM Global Report on Music, 82% of adults who don't play a musical instrument wish they did. It's a funny thing for a musician like me to meet different people--a physician or an attorney, for example--and hear her say, "Gee, I always wished that I could do that."
