Hey there! I am a professional vocalist and recording artist. I first understand the goals of the student and tailor a curriculum specifically for them. I approach the lesson with education and context to produce intentional and intelligent singers. Confidence and self-acceptance are important tenants that I encourage and/or help the student connect to as they embrace the uniqueness of their voice. My personal brand is excellence without excuse and I deliver that with a great attitude, high energy, and family vibes. My specialties are in Gospel, R&B, Neo Soul, Choir/Ensemble singing but provide technique for all styles. I provide coaching/teaching for persons singing for their first time up to advanced vocal methodologies such as improvisation, interpretive voicing, and performance techniques. I also assist in crafting melodic structure, nuance, dynamics and performance prep. I believe in a wholistic approach to teaching that incorporates the intersectionality of our lived experience. Vocally, I've been compared to Faith Evans, J. Moss, Stevie Wonder, and Karen Clark Sheard. As a professional artist, I have sang as lead and background vocalist and I've had the pleasure of working in music and the entertainment industry my entire life. I've performed in various countries as part of an ensemble and as a solo artist. I've provided supporting vocals for a number of artists in various genres and I look forward to sharing that experience, fun, and technique with you!
