Along with guitar instruction, I am currently Lead Guitarist and an original member of Easy Wind Band, an emerging tribute band authentically performing music of The Grateful Dead at many established venues around Southern California.

I've been recording and performing for 25 years. Former bands include Kin (Original Pop, Rock & Improv), Liquid Dead (Grateful Dead tribute band), and Blues for Breakfast (Blues, Rock & Motown). Additional live performances and recordings with members of Cake, Phish, The Samples, Kings X, The Dixie Dregs, and many, many more. I studied Liberal Arts & Music at Goddard College in Plainfield, VT.

I'm also working to develop and record a second album of Darkpark, my own original music. My Darkpark band performed live in Vermont and was critically acclaimed.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching and am an experienced and patient instructor for all ages. I welcome students at all levels, from introduction to mastery.

The only way to learn how to play guitar is to learn music. That’s why you take lessons from Larry Flynn. Larry knows the guitar inside out, and he knows music the same way. He’s conversant in several styles, he teaches technique and theory at the same time, and he’s great to work with. He is patient, encouraging, and takes his students where they want to go and then beyond that. He’s also a great musician, who plays with finesse and feeling, but can bring the house down too. I can’t wait to retire, so I can take lessons from Larry more often. In fact, I might just quit my job.
