He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's of Science in Human/Child Development and Family Studies and continued on to Denver Seminary with a Masters in Counseling. Lan is currently a violist/violinist in the Jefferson Symphony, the Denver Pops Orchestra and Mile High String Quartet. He has been concertmaster of the Golden Chamber Orchestra and has assisted in other orchestras including the Lakewood Symphony, Aurora Symphony, Lonetree Symphony, Arapahoe Phillharmonic, Metropolitan State University of Denver Symphony and the Valley Symphony. He is frequently invited to play solo and with other various chamber groups throughout Colorado. Lan is currently studying under Bradley Watson, a violinist with the Colorado Symphony. Lan is known for his passion for music and the way he is able to express it through his execution and performance

The LSO performs a variety of concerts every year featuring works from Bach, Beethoven and Brahms to Vaughn-Williams, Stravinsky, John Williams and everything in between. Our season includes seven concerts each year – four Classical concerts, one Pops concert, a Christmas concert and a Family concert.

The 55+ members who volunteer their time and talents represent a variety of ages and vocations. The ensemble aims to serve Denver area communities through performances of familiar music, including a wide range of music from light classical and symphonic to operatic movements, Broadway and movie tunes to dance band and pops compositions. Denver Pops performs regularly from September through May, offering a variety of concerts, formal dances, benefits, and special events.
