    About Kristine R.

    Kristine R. is a Pittsburgh-based flutist, performing as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician across the United States. Currently she plays around town with the Incidental Chamber Players, OvreArts Ensemble, Alia Musica, Musicians with a Mission, and Choro no Vinho. She maintains two active studios around town, is director and music arranger of the Hope Academy flute choir, and coached the woodwind section of the East Liberty Community Engagement Orchestra. Her students are all ages, from 4 to 66! Her teaching philosophy encourages students to develop into well-rounded individuals, guiding them to use music as a tool for expression, creative exploration, and personal achievement. Lessons with Kristine R. include work on tone production, proper posture and technique, music theory, and musicality. Lessons are individually adapted for each student.
