Violin with Kristina H.

Dr. Kristina Horrocks has been teaching violin, viola, and piano students of all ages (2+) for more than 17 years. She has doctorate, masters, and bachelor degrees in Viola Performance, and Music Theory Pedagogy. Besides her university music studies, Dr. Horrocks is also a certified Suzuki teacher with training from the Pre-Twinkles through Violin Book 5. Dr. Horrocks has been a principal and section violist in many orchestras across the U.S. and in Europe, including the Schlesswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra in Germany, the Lucern Festival Academy Orchestra in Switzerland, and the Ann Arbor Symphony and Flint Symphony Orchestra in Michigan. Dr. Horrocks loves teaching and strives to make learning music enriching and enjoyable. While she demands excellence, she is also understanding and helps students to grow at their own pace. In addition to teaching music, she enjoys runnning, reading, and trying to cook new and exciting foods in her kitchen!
