Kristian P. is an active steel pan performer and teacher based in South Philadelphia. Mr. P. has performed around the United States, Europe, and Asia, including concert appearances with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He currently directs steel drum orchestras at the University of Delaware, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, and Northern Children's Services.

Tailored to my abilities

Having taken lessons from Kristian for well over 5 years, I can attest to his ability to take raw talent, and in some cases not much talent at all, and produce players of considerable proficiancy. In my case Kristian recognized what my strong points are and tailored the lessons to best take asvantage of what abilities I have. "Cut to the chase", as it were, without dwelling on things of no interest to me, but yet providing a well rounded background, and quite a pallette to work from when developing ideas or learning new arrangements. Any one wishing to learn Steel Pan or develop their ability to play would do very well with Kristian and should take advantage of the opportunity.
