Vocal Training with Kristen S.

I am a professional singer and teacher with a Bachelor of Music Education with Vocal Emphasis from Houston Baptist University. I enjoy singing all types of music and feel that it is important to develop a well rounded repertoire in the various popular and classical genres. I have done performances throughout the Houston Area for events such as weddings, fund-raisers, church services, funerals, and recitals. In my teen through early adult years, I performed contemporary Christian music in my church, and also alternative rock (not at church!) In Alaska, I performed lead roles in staged opera scenes, as well as opera chorus scenes. In Oklahoma, I performed the roles of Carrie in Carousel, Mother in Hansel und Gretel, and Donna Lucia in Charlie's Aunt. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to sing with some great choruses and a capella groups, and always encourage my students to seek out performance opportunities.
