    About Kimberly F.

Hello! My name is Kim and I am a professional freelance violinist, and violist. I received my Bachelor's of Music Education from West Virginia University, and pursued my graduate studies in Viola Pedagogy from Shenandoah University. I directed a high school orchestra for seven years before focusing solely on private lesson teaching. I have been teaching private violin and viola students for over 20 years in my home studio. I have performed with numerous large and small groups including Lynchburg Symphony, Prince William Symphony and the Denver Pops. My current students are all high achieving students in their school ensembles, and local youth orchestras. Students can expect to learn proper playing techniques that will help make playing violin easier, and help them accomplish more technical music. I also teach students practicing methods that will reduce their time in the practice room, while still reaching their goals.
