Hello future piano player! I have been a lover of all things piano since 2001. I first started when my grandmother paid for me to take lessons at the age of 9. My teacher Ms. Cynthia was the sweetest and most patient teacher I've ever had and she taught me how to play at an accelerated pace. We started with the basics from understanding the 12 notes on the piano, to learning about scales, to playing chords, all the way to learning how to play my favorite songs by ear. 19 years later, I teach students how to play and I love every bit of it! I've performed in churches, for artists, at open mics, for weddings, and pretty much any place you think of. Piano has been a great outlet for me throughout the years and it continues to be daily. I realize that everyone learns differently, so the first two lessons will be focused on developing a customized learning plan. This helps students reach their highest potential in a way that is comfortable for them. When I'm not teaching piano I provide individual and group therapy to people with autism and provide support to their families. This has truly allowed me to feel comfortable in different settings with a diverse population of students. In addition, I also received my Masters in Social Work from Columbia University in 2016 and now work as a part time Social Worker in Los Angeles. I love the excitement that teaching gives me.
