    About Kenny S.

    Kenny discovered his love of music at age 7 and , with the total support of his parents , began private guitar lessons. He began performing "live" at age 10 and continues working as a full time musician to this day. While attending Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. he had the opportunity to do recording session work with Harry Chapin, Stevie Wonder and many other notable artists. Graduate- Berklee College of Music. While still in college Kenny began to give private guitar and bass instruction during the summer months and eventually opened his own music studio. In addition,Kenny has also worked as guitarist with national touring productions of : West Side Story Damn Yankees Man of La Mancha Hair Godspell South Pacific Joseph/Dreamcoat He has recorded, and or, performed with: Harry Chapin Ace Frehley of Kiss Bobby Vinton Country Star Lynn Anderson Kenny Rodgers James Cotton Blues Band Cornell Dupree (Guitarist with King Curtis, Aretha Franklin,Joe Cocker,Brooks Benton ETC...) Ron Wood and Mick Taylor ( Rolling Stones) Tower of Power Billy Vera Vickie Sue Robinson Paul Shafer (David Lettermans CBS orchestra) Will Lee (David Lettermans CBS orchestra) Anton Fig (David Lettermans CBS orchestra) Richard Tee (pianist for Aretha Franklin, Paul Simon ETC...) Christopher Parker (Saturday Night Live Band) Blues legend Otis Rush Universal Studios Walt Disney World Carnival Cruise lines I have learned much through these "real world" musical experiences and look forward to sharing this knowledge with my students *** Lesson Details *** I teach Music on a "need to know "basis. In other words, We first determine where you you want to go with your music and how best to get you there. Whether you simply want to play for your own relaxation or you intend to make a living in music and anywhere in between.I give lessons on line via Skype and Google hangouts. learn what you want at your own pace. Learning to read music is optional but recommended. Besides performance I also work with my students on songwriting, music theory as it relates to the instrument, recording techniques, and ear training. I keep the spirit of fun and adventure in my lessons and never loose sight of the fact that You are paying to learn what you want! *** Studio Equipment *** You will need Skype or Google Hangouts installed on our computer. You will also need : High speed internet connection. Webcam and Mic. External speakers or headphones (ear buds are fine ) *** Specialties *** I teach all levels,all styles from beginner to professional. I teach on a "need to know" basis custom tailoring the curriculum to the student based on their goals, from the "recreational" player to the full time pro.
