I began teaching violin when I was in high school, and have taught various students in the years since. I also have extensive experience working as a nanny, and have worked with all ages, from infants to teenagers. In addition to having studied classical violin for 17 years, I am a songwriter and arranger, and perform my string arrangements with other songwriters in various venues around New York City. I have a bachelors degree in linguistics with a minor in music from International Christian University in Tokyo, where I researched the cognitive relationship between speech and music for my graduating thesis. I recently moved to Western Mass after finishing my master's degree in violin performance at Belmont University in Nashville.

**I do have a dog and a cat, so if you or your child has a pet allergy, lessons in my home will not be the right option for you.

6 stars! Kelsea is amazing! She is very personable and patient. She made my daughter feel comfortable when she wouldn't understand something. Very easy to talk to. Knowledgeable! All around nice person! My daughter loved her. Definitely recommend!

Kelsea is a wonderful teacher. She is very patient and take her time with my daughter. She has also been a wonderful influence on my daughter who is learning Japanese and has made great progress with Kelsea. I would refer her to anyone with a child who has a serious interest in learning Japanese.
