- Teaches students:
- Ages 5+ and special needs
- Teaching since:
I received my Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance from Liberty University in 2009, and my Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Georgia in 2011. Since that time, I have taught students of all ages and ability levels in schools, churches, and homes throughout the DC Metro area.
I have additionally performed in musicals and operettas, presented historical music at Mount Vernon, been featured in holiday productions in some of the areas well known churches, and sung in many cabaret fund raisers. My strength is in Classical, Opera, Broadway, Sacred, Folk, and Jazz, but I can help you learn the essentials of vocal health for any style in which you seek to specialize.
I have a strong background in piano, can teach you to read music and sight sing, train your ear for greater pitch accuracy, and accompany the songs you wish to learn in your lessons. My teaching style is warm, nurturing, and patient, with a gentle insistence on excellence. I believe in helping you discover your unique passion for song, and supporting you in uncovering the gift that only you can share with the world. The atmosphere we will create in your lessons is fun, safe, and judgement free so you can explore new horizons and move towards your greatest potential as a singer.
