Cooking with Kayisha T.

Kayisha started cooking and baking at the age of 10 in her parents kitchen in FarRockaway, NY. Kayisha's parents left her home as they had Season tickets to a Knicks Game at Madison Square Garden. Her older siblings were suppose to come home to babysit her. Out of boredom and curiosity, Kayisha decided to open up a cake box mix and voila a baker was born. Her parents came home to a baked and frosted cake. The siblings were ground :) Kayisha was on a hiatus from baking as she completed her undergraduate studies. She picked up her spatula back after graduating from LIU. She hasn't put it down since. She took cake decorating courses at Viking Cooking School of Atlanta, Cake Art, and Wilton. And, she started teaching for Wilton Industries from 2008/2009 as a Cake Decorating Instructor. She's taken courses with Lisa Mansour of NY Cake, Vinny Buzzetta of Staten Island Cakes, LaMeeka of Cakes by Lameka, Chef Vanessa Greeley, and Colette Peters. She loves doing what she does! Her journey as an instructor began when she was recruited to teach children and teens the art of cake decorating. Kayisha is flexible, fun, knowledgeable, and resourceful. You will want to learn more having her as an instructor.
