About Kaitlin M.
Kaitlin M. is a DC-based violinist with a Master's degree in performance from the University of Maryland, College Park where she served as a graduate ensemble fellow. Kaitlin is dedicated to performing music of our time by collaborating with up-and-coming composers, visual artists, and performers. Most recently, Kaitlin was a fellow at the Bang on a Can Summer Festival, the Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice at the New England Conservatory, and soundSCAPE in Maccagno, Italy. She is an active freelance musician and teacher in the DMV, performing with the Fairfax Symphony, Gourmet Symphony, Pan American Symphony Orchestra, as well as serving as concertmaster of the Capital City Symphony for their Go Go Symphony series. She is also one of the founding members of rogue collective, a group of musicians, dancers, and visual artists who are interested in creating a dialogue between classical and popular art forms.
