    About Katie L.

I work one-on-one with singers and songwriters to help them develop a clear understanding of songwriting, ear training, and vocal techniques. My main focus is breaking down the technical aspects of music in an easy-to-grasp way so my students can express their creative side without becoming overwhelmed with the "music theory" side of things. I have a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Birmingham-Southern College, and have taught over 200 students in the past 4 years. I am proficient in voice, piano, guitar, and violin. My coaching sessions are individualized based on my students' strengths and weaknesses. Each semester we set specific goals to work towards based on the areas that need the most focus. If you think you would be interested in songwriting or vocal coaching from me, I'd love to hear from you!
