Consider me your (All Access Pass) to harnessing your full vocal potential. I started performing professionally when I was 10 years old and with over 40 years of performance experience and 18 years of teaching experience I know how to mine and develop talent.

Now just a bit about myself...though I am classically trained, I am very blessed to have grown up in a musical family who appreciates all types of music. So at home we'd jam out to Jazz and Blues, but it was my classical training that allowed me to excel in my craft. I learned how to carry the skill sets from my classical training into multiple genres of music. In doing so I earned awards on the local, state and regional levels, opening doors for performance opportunities on stages both here, at home, and abroad.

In 1998 I decided to open a voice studio, determined to create a learning environment that would blend the discipline of sound technique with a fun, relaxed atmosphere, free of negative critique. Here I am 18 years later and still going strong!

I am looking for goal oriented students, who are serious about mastering their instrument and willing to work hard to get there. Are you that person?

If so, I would love to hear from you.

I started with Kathy my freshmen year in high school, & I was probably the most shy person that had ever existed. My personal goal, was to be able to perform in front of somebody besides my mom. Although, it took me a little while, Kathy helped reach my goal, and moulded me into the person I am today. Currently, I am a sophomore in College, w/ a major in music. I have conquered my fear of performing, & have had the honor of performing in front of more than 6,000 people. I never would've reached that goal without Kathy, & she has forever impacted my life, in the best way possible. She really helped me come out of my shell, & helped me find out who I really am! Music will always be a way I can express myself, and I have Kathy to thank for that.

Kathy is a passionate teacher. She has the knack of putting you at ease, and helps build enthusiasm. My first day of learning was both educative and fun! I am glad I signed up with Kathy. Keep up the good work, Kathy!!!

Kathy is the best! She has taken the time to get to know my daughter, connect with her, and become aware of the specific ways that she learns. Being thought of not just as a student, but as a unique individual, has enabled her lessons and recitals with Noteworthy to be experiences that have been both challenging and rewarding, as well as fun and memorable. I recommend Kathy with great enthusiasm and without reservation!

Kathy is passionate and energetic. Often students leave her studio feeling more confident in their musical abilities, and life in general. For me, I noticed her impact in the performance aspect the most. Most of us learn music so we can share it with others. The lessons she taught me about how to stand, letting loose and relaxing have proven to be invaluable. Her work and dedication to each student's musical career is astounding. Without her I could not have had the courage or ability to participate in the All-State Music Festival of 2015.

I haven't been studying at the studio for that long, but I've already learned so much. I feel like I have a better understanding of what happens when I sing and what I should be looking out for when I sing. I am having such a great time learning and I hope to continue expanding my knowledge of voice and how it works.

I saw Kathy for a lesson so I could relay to my students what her teaching style is. Kathy takes the time to explain the body as an instrument as well as many, many techniques for achieving a singing goal. She is always positive and energetic. You can feel her passion come through in the lessons.

My daughter has been receiving vocal training from Kathy for 2 years. The changes in her voice are amazing. Not only has her voice improved, her self-confidence has improved and she was able to secure a part in her high school musical. My daughter enjoys her weekly lessons with Kathy. Kathy gives her students a chance to perform in a recital every January and an amazing show in the spring. Kathy is more than just a singing teacher, she is a mentor. She encourages her students to be well rounded vocally and otherwise. Thank you Kathy for all you do!
