Kathryn comes with two important strengths. First, she is a working professional, with excellent technique and musicality from real world experience. Secondly, she is patient with students like me who are still figuring it out. Those two things make for a great teacher.

Kathryn has helped me in my musical journey for a very long time! Over the 15 years I have worked with Kathryn she has been a teacher, life coach, and now musical colleague. Kathryn's teaching style is always warm and very informative. She builds confidence on something I did well, then gives me recommendations on how to improve either a technical skill or with musicality of the piece we are working on. After every lesson, I come out feeling improved and more confident than when I went in. Kathryn has guided me in both classical and musical theater pieces as well as introduced me some very interesting contemporary songs that I have greatly enjoyed. With her guidance and instruction, I have grown into a musician that is confident in my own abilities for preforming and a caring instructor to my own students.
