Believing that music is the most intimate and transparent way of revealing the resonance of her heart, violinist June invites listeners to connect to her in the absence of words. When June found her true voice in violin at the age of eight, she began to rigorously study violin with Sung-Ju at the Korea National University of Arts Pre-College Division in Seoul, Korea. Led by her continuous enthusiasm and passion for music, June expanded her music education and artistry in Austria, Brazil, Germany, Korea, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and United States and has worked with distinguished artists including, Victor Danchenko, Anke Dill, Patinka Kopec, Valery Oistrakh, Igor Ozim, Aaron Rosand, and Eduard Schmieder through various music festivals, masterclasses, and schools. June has been awarded the first prize at The New York International Competition for Young Artists, was a second prize winner of the 2015 Alexander and Buono International String Competition, the winner of the CBS Radio Violin Competition and the 49th Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic Competition, amongst others. June has given concerts as a soloist in Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and Symphony Space in NYC, and as an orchestral musician in Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall (formerly Avery Fisher Hall), and Alice Tully Hall under the batons of John Adams, Marin Alsop, Nicholas McGegan, Leonard Slatkin, and Jaap van Zweden, among numerous other renowned conductors. Following her vision to be sharing magic on stage with fellow musicians in a professional orchestra as her career, June has performed in collaboration with Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Treasuring every moment of art in her life by furthering her education, June completed her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at The Juilliard School with professors Stephen Clapp, David Chan, and Li Lin. Then, she earned her Artist Diploma under the guidance of Victor Danchenko, whom she cherishes as the father of her musical career, at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory in Toronto. Currently, she is pursuing a graduate degree in Orchestral Performance major at Manhattan School of Music with former Concertmaster of New York Philharmonic, Glenn Dicterow, and current Associate Principal Second Violinist of New York Philharmonic, Lisa Kim. In her spare time, June largely enjoys acting, another compelling passion of hers, and singing!
