I have experience and knowledge with digestive health/imbalances, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, ketogenic, vegetarian, and candida diets, along with recipe development, cooking healthy meals at home, meal preparation, eating well on a budget, food allergies and much more. Lessons may be conducted via Skype or in your own residence to accommodate your needs.

I'm a registered dietitian, board certified specialist in obesity and weight management with a bachelor's and master's degree in nutrition from Bastyr University. I specialize in whole foods nutrition with a motto of healing the body from the inside out!

I've been practicing for over 5 years, with experience in both community and clinical settings, teaching a variety of nutritional classes (weight management, grocery store tours, heart health, diabetes, bariatric, and weight management support groups) and individual consults. 

As a dietitian, my goal is to help you become your best self by sharing my education, knowledge and passion of nutrition with you.

We found Julie to be a God-send considering the many digestive issues that I had since October of 2016.  We learned of Julie from a member of our family and called her for help.  Julie came to our home where she spent three hours explaining what I was enduring while also providing a reason for every thing that I was allergic to. She also helped us figure out a diet that was more conducive to my needs while also explaining how many other foods weren't good for me. As Julie explained, it would take time battling what is called Acid Reflux, but the end result is that I have gained back about 15 pounds and feel much better thanks to her guidance and understanding.  We highly recommend her for not only her expertise, but also her understanding in dealing with a painful and confusing disorder. 
I also wrote a blog which details our experiences with acid reflux and how Julie carefully diagnosed the issue and paved the way to my recovery. I now understand what food to eat and what vitamins to take en-route to a better life.
