We're very happy with Julie's flute lessons. My daughter switched from France to the US and working with Julie has helped her in the change and in progressing with her flute skills. Julie is a very safe choice.

Julie is an awesome teacher. I'm in my 20's and was looking for someone to teach me the saxophone. I was a total beginner, and Julie was so patient from the beginning.
During each lesson, Julie taught me new things while enforcing the ideas she taught the previous lessons so that I would work on perfecting one skill while learning a new one, which encouraged me to continue practicing and working on the different techniques.
Additionally, Julie went above and beyond, helping me find a new instrument, as well as sending me many different songs to practice throughout the week. She really took the time to make sure I was learning as much as possible and learning it well.
Overall, I think Julie is a wonderful and talented teacher that really knows how to teach each student on their own level, and I'm so grateful to have taken lessons with her. I highly recommend!

Julie has honestly changed my mindset about the flute. She has helped me improve tremendously and I have thoroughly enjoyed lessons and learning with her. I am in 7th grade and play at school in a large band. The individual teaching has helped me in so many ways. She helped boost my confidence in playing the flute and on sight reading music pieces. I was struggling coming into class, but even after the first couple of classes the improvement was amazing. Julie has helped me correct some of my bad habits. She has not only taught me almost everything I know, she has taught me how to do my own independent work as well. I am always very comfortable asking any question I have. As well as teaching me how to play the flute, Julie has taught me about music. When I play pieces, often she will show me a video of a huge group playing it. We also play many duets with her on flute or piano which is not only fun but very educational in my flute development. She is also very flexible and friendly. I 120% recommend her for any age or instrument. Julie is challenging, yet fun. She is an amazing musician and teacher and I can't thank her enough!

Julie is amazing!!
My 9 year old girl learns the violin from her.
Julie is very patient and always encourages her students to do their best.
She does ensemble with my daughter during lessons. It makes my child feel she can play and helps building her confidence in performance. At the same time, she can listen to how Julie plays the violin and learn how the notes should be played.

Julie is a superb teacher. She seeks to improve a student's musicianship in all relevant areas. She challenges students to improve their playing and not settle for merely passable results.

She seems to constantly be cultivating new methods and teaching techniques which means she is likely putting in as much work--or more work--than her students. If one particular teaching technique doesn't work for a student, Julie surely has an alternative path in mind that will probably lead to success.

Her knowledge and teaching course is deep and if a student desires an improvement in any specific area Julie certainly has a solution or multiple solutions tailored to specific needs of individual students.

Her schedule flexibility and openness to feedback are also top notch.

My 5-year old daughter took violin with Julie and our experience was excellent.

She is incredibly patient and encouraging and has a comfort level with teaching that comes across very naturally. Each lesson was also well-structured and productive while remaining fun (which is important for a little one!).

I was constantly impressed with not only her expansive musical talent, but with her keen eye in observing all the little details as well.

Highly recommended!

Julie is wonderful. She is very intelligent and accomplished but somehow manages to put me at ease. I enjoy the lessons, it isn't work. For someone so young she has acquired amazing people skills, she is a natural born teacher, a great musician, and she loves what she does. Her knowledge of music and teaching will never cease to impress me. She is dedicated and gives you 200%. But she remains very human and easy to feel comfortable with. A consummate professional, with a healthy sense of humor, who is never impatient or insensitive, she is perfect. I highly recommend her to students of all ages and at all levels.

Amazing teacher - Professional - Really knows how to teach

I started flute lessons with Julie when I was in 7th grade. She helped boost my confidence in playing the flute and over time set me in the right direction for the elite high school music program which I am in now. Our lessons were always on time. She would help me work on sight reading and music pieces I was struggling with while correcting some of my bad habits. I was very comfortable asking any question and her teaching style was easy for me to understand and follow. Every week I looked forward to my lesson with her. Over time I was amazed at how much better I was playing. She was very knowledgeable of the audition requirements for music students preparing for more advanced opportunities. She even helped me with the audition piece for the BCMEA festival, (Bucks County Music Educators' Association), which I was selected and performed in.

In summary – Julie is a great teacher. She is very knowledgeable in other instruments, too. She also helped me start to play the piccolo along with my flute lessons. In addition to playing the flute, I now play piccolo in the high school marching band. I will always be grateful for the support and outstanding lessons she provided for me.

Julie? Yes.

I wanted to start taking the violin seriously, and Julie was certainly the best teacher for that (and still is!). She helped me prepare for my audition for my school's chamber group and although I did not make it that year (being that I had started lessons a couple months before my audition day), I did the next year. Not only that, I made it by a long shot. I was fifth chair, first violin. Even before then I noticed how much I had improved studying with Julie. She not only worked with me on how to efficiently practice and approach the music itself, but taught me proper technique to yield the best sound--for instance, using the ENTIRE bow, an important thing to do... She is patient, her instruction is invaluable, and improvement is guaranteed (given that you also work hard). It is also superfun playing duets with her <3.

Highly excellent teacher and personally the best private teacher I've had.

Julie is an amazing teacher who I had for about 5 years. I would never have to worry about her cancelling and she was always open to changes in availability on your side due to things coming up. She is an excellent teacher who has helped me greatly on the violin, helped me get started on the piano and has even helped me with auditions for my trumpet when asked about. She is a wonderful person who is extremely friendly to both students and parents and I can guarantee that you will learn and become a better musician by studying with her.
