Joy is loving, kind, & patient. I've taken piano lessons from Joy since 2010.
My daughter Kelly took piano lessons from Joy for several years, beginning in junior high and through all of high school. Joy encouraged Kelly to play music she enjoyed, and helped her to deepen her love of music. Joy was accommodating of Kelly's schedule when necessary, which we very much appreciated! Joy became not just a music teacher, but a friend of the family. I highly recommend Joy as a piano teacher for any age.+ Read More
I love this instructor. Always a smile on her face and a great personality. When I am stuck on part of a song, she always has a helpful hint to get me through the rough spots. I have seen her work with the kids and she is so considerate of their individual needs. You can really tell that she loves her job. Highly recommend Joy to anyone who wants to learn to play the piano.+ Read More
Joy is great with my boys, ages 8 and 6. She keeps them interested and engaged, and best of all she's fun and knows how to teach at their level. I'm impressed by her ability to redirect them if need be and keep them motivated. She taught my eldest Jingle Bells in one of his earliest lessons because he just had to know how to play it! The teaching environment is cheerful and upbeat. My kids really enjoy it.+ Read More
