I am an Orchestra Fellow of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. I received my percussion education first from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Percussion Scholarship Program. I received my Bachelor of Percussion Performance at DePaul School of Music.
*** Lesson Details ***
I am very fun overall and am looking to teach as much as the student is willing to work to learn. A beginner will learn how to read time signatures, quarter, eighth and sixteenth notes, play at least a page long snare drum solo and perform a double stroke roll and other rudiments.

I would like the student to have a Remo practice pad and stand or comparable, a pair of Vic Firth SD1 Sticks or comparable, a music stand and an inexpensive metronome.

Mentor/Instructor of students age 10-18. The program recruits students from third or fourth grade for free percussion lessons from the date of entry to high school graduation. They participate in at least two concerts per year and have at least 48 lesson weeks.

Professionals can create new percussion programs or gain recognition through PAS grants and contests. Many individuals have significantly impacted the world of percussion through the Percussive Arts Society and they are recognized in our Hall of Fame and Awards pages.
