I want to share my passion and knowledge of music with you!

I've been involved with music for as long as I can remember, and being classically trained in piano & trombone for years as a young person set me off to teach others the love of music!

I started teaching private lessons in 2003, and have worked in performance ensembles, recording studios, bands, and other assorted musical areas throughout that time.

I've gained teaching experience through summer camps, private instruction, workshops, and online curriculum.

My son (8) and daughter (6) have been taking piano lessons with Josh and they've both been having a lot of fun AND learning a lot. Josh keeps it light, but makes sure that his students are learning the theory needed to really progress. I would HIGHLY recommend Josh!!!

Josh has been the most kind and patient of any instructors I have ever had! He is knowledge-able, is always finding new ways to connect the right practice and knowledge with his students, and completely dedicated in making sure the student has fun! He is good with anyone of any age and music range and will always take the time to review. I sadly could not continue with him due to my schedule and inability to make the time to practice and attend lessons, but I would recommend him to any aspiring musician looking to enhance his/her musical abilities. You cannot get any better than Josh!

Josh is a Great teacher! More patience with my son than I have at times! He was very good at explaining the basic concepts behind the lessons. Josh is always on time and ready to get started. I would highly recommend Josh to anyone that is interested in getting their kids started in music.

Joshua has been teaching our kids, aged 6 and 8, piano and guitar for almost a year and the experience has been wonderful, both for us as parents, and our children. Joshua connected quickly and easily with our children while at the same time commanding their respect. His methodology works well with their age group and skill level. Joshua has always been extremely professional, punctual, and courteous; I highly recommend him!

Josh is AMAZING!!!! His creativity with the lessons has not only kept the interest and attention of all 3 of my kids but have them excited for "Piano Day" every week at our home. His enthusiasm and love for music makes it seem so easy to teach the kids! Josh will definitely be a part of our weekly schedule for years to come!!!!

Josh is teaching piano to my six year old daughter and piano and guitar to my nine year old son. Both of my children love their lessons with Josh and are learning a great deal from him. Josh teaches information and skills that need to known to help the children advance as musicians while keeping the lessons interesting and fun. Josh is very easy to get along with and responsive to the needs of students, I highly recommend him as a teacher.

Joshua has been a great instructor for my daughters 15 and 13 yrs. old. At this age it can be tricky to build trust and feel comfortable with an instructor. They have been playing and singing since January and I love hearing them laugh together and am enjoying seeing the progress. I feel very fortunate to have found an enthusiastic instructor for my girls. And the greatest thing is that they are practicing together! Love it!

Great experience

Josh has been teaching my 7 year old daughter to play guitar. She has had about 5 lessons and every week that goes by, she is more excited for Josh to get here to learn. He has been so patient with her. We've appreciated that and also his clear commitment in helping her achieve her best.
We like his style of teaching. He comes prepared and gives us a plan for the week. She is very young, but he has managed to get her to understand.
It has been such a pleasant experience. We anticipate having Josh in our lives for quite a while!

Rockin Guitar Lessons

Before Josh I had never picked up a guitar. After talking with him I bought a guitar and took lessons. With his patients, persistence, and teaching abilities I learned how to play the guitar. I will never forget the first song he taught me how to play, Time of Your Life by Green Day. While he was my teacher he played at family gathers and events. He has become more than a teacher to my family and I.
I would recommend him to anybody who wants to learn how to play or wants to become a better guitar player.
Thank you Josh!
