Jonathan Roberts is a performing jazz and hip hop musician. He attended Berklee College of Music for Trumpet performance and Composition, and holds a bachelors degree in Jazz Piano Performance from Portland State University. Jonathan teaches technique and performance skills focused on interaction with other musicians. His lessons focus heavily on listening, discussions about current music artists and trends, understanding key harmonic and theoretical concepts, and playing together to develop improvisation skills. His current projects are the hip-hop band Eastern Sunz and the songwriting group Arrows in Orbit. He also performs regularly with small jazz and electronic ensembles in Portland Oregon.
