He has studied a wide variety of genres: contemporary and modern classical guitar, jazz, rock, instrumental metal, environmental sound mixing. Each have a distinct influence on his own personal style. He brings extensive knowledge of the dynamics of music and improvisation on the fretboard into his teaching practice to give the student the tools necessary for him or her to become the best guitarist they can be

Sure fingers and an extensive knowledge of the fretboard allow him to improvise with ease. All of this he brings into his teaching practice to give the student the tools necessary for him or her to become the best guitarist they can be.

Jon G. is excellent! He has the intuitive abilities of teaching, while also the intricate details of an articulate musician. His combination of answering questions with his quirky smiles and laughter makes the experience of being taught so much more enjoyable. Out of all of the guitar teachers I have had, he was by far the best and most unique in his approach.
