I have been playing and studying percussion, including both jazz and classical percussion, for nearly 8 years. While being active in the Warwick Valley Central School District's music department throughout all of middle school and high school, including in the WVHS Select Jazz Ensemble and the WVHS Honors Wind Ensemble, as well as several pit orchestras, I participated and excelled in musical activities both curricular and extra curricular, including working as a studio musician and receiving the Woody Herman Jazz Award in 2014 "for outstanding contributions to the jazz ensemble." I currently study at SUNY New Paltz, where I am majoring in Music with a concentration in Jazz Percussion Performance, and I am being taught by renowned jazz percussionist Jeff Siegel. I seek to pass on the knowledge I've gained in my experience as a percussionist to anyone who is willing to learn! I am skilled in rock, jazz, funk, Latin, and classical, and will do my best to provide useful information and feedback regarding these styles.
