I like to personalize my lessons depending on the musical taste and interests of the student.  That means if a student likes heavy metal, I focus on techniques and principles commonly used in heavy metal.  Same with Jazz, Pop, Country, Classical, anything (but I may encourage the student to explore other types of music as well)!  In addition I teach music theory and ear training to help the student understand the language of music.

Hey! I'm a graduate from the music department of Abilene Christian University.  I have much experience in performing guitar, including Rock, Metal, Pop, Jazz, Blues, and Classical styles of music.  I like to personalize my lessons for every student depending on their musical tastes and interests.  My personal favorite styles of music are Rock, Metal, and Classical.

John did a super job working with our 11 year old son.  He made it fun and customized it to meet the needs and desire of my son. John was recommended by a music professor at a university and I was glad we used him.
