Hi, I'm John-Marc D, a Boston-based upright and electric bassist from McLean, VA. I love to play a wide variety of styles, including jazz, funk, pop, rock, Afro-Cuban, and Afro-Brazilian music. My teaching philosophy is “Nothing’s difficult, it’s just unfamiliar.” In lessons, I focus on meeting my students where they are and building a curriculum that fits their skill sets and interests.
