As a teacher, I teach students based on their experience, their goals, and their interests. I begin by asking what kind of music and bass playing they are most interested and go from there. I supply exercises, videos, helpful worksheets, practice journals, sheet music, and more. I love to focus on teaching students songs they love, in a helpful and successful way. My name is John Koozin. I was raised in a musical household in Houston, Texas. I have been playing and performing music since I was six years old. I went to an Arts high school and now study Jazz Performance at The New School's College for Performing Arts. I perform frequently in NYC and compose and teach as well.
